Our WELS European civilian chaplain is based in Spiesheim, Germany. He serves people in a number of German cities, but also travels to Italy, England, and Switzerland. Both civilians and military personnel living in Europe are referred to our European civilian chaplain for spiritual support.

In order to make contact with WELS members in Europe, our chaplain appreciates referrals. The names of men and women in military service can be submitted using the “Service Member Referral” button at the bottom of this page. To submit the names of WELS civilians living in Europe, please use the same button to get to the referral form, but then choose “Civilians Abroad” to submit contact information for the European civilian chaplain.

Even if people are in Europe temporarily as tourists, they are welcome to attend a WELS Europe worship service. Visitors and military and civilian residents will find helpful information on the website welseurope.net. Confirm details by emailing the Civilian Chaplain.
