WELS Foundation is headquartered in the WELS synod administration building located in Waukesha, Wis. Day-to-day operations are carried out by synod employees assigned to WELS Foundation.
James A. Holm, CFP®, accepted a call to serve as a WELS Christian giving counselor in 1996 and now serves as the executive director of WELS Foundation and WELS Investment Funds. Prior to joining WELS, Jim was a financial advisor with American Express Financial Services. He is a graduate from the College of Financial Planning and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant. In 2014 he completed the Synod Certification for Non-Parish Staff Ministry program at Martin Luther College.

Kyle Bartsch joined WELS in 2024 as the program development & research administrator for WELS Foundation. He supports WELS Foundation by promoting the Foundation’s deferred giving instruments, assists in facilitating complex gifts, researches new opportunities for giving instruments, and stays current with respect to rules and regulations related to deferred giving.
Prior to joining WELS, Kyle was a registered representative at Landaas & Company, a Milwaukee-based independent wealth advisor, and previously was an administrator for UMB Fund Services, a mutual fund servicing company.

Monica Peavy has been an employee of WELS since 2007, serving as the WELS Investment Funds Investor Services Specialist and WELS Foundation Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining WELS, she was with LifeTime Credit Union for 23 years as Financial Services Officer, Manager of Member Deposit Services, and Member Service Supervisor. Formerly, Monica held positions at First Savings–Milwaukee as a Customer Service Representative, Teller Trainer, and New Accounts Supervisor.

Megan Butz was hired in 2014 as the Accounts Payable Specialist for the Finance Team. In October 2021, she joined WELS Foundation as the Donor Services and Gift Administrator.
Prior to joining WELS, Megan worked at a local credit union as a teller and Member Service Representative.

Ann Jahns joined WELS in 2020. She is responsible for driving the individual and collective marketing and communication of WELS Foundation and WELS Investment Funds. She manages the communication efforts that include website content, e-mail broadcasts, electronic and print communication, webinars, direct mail, event presence, and communication with WELS organizations. She also is part of the WELS Communication Services team. Prior to joining WELS, Ann was the Director of Communication at Grace Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, Wis., and the Director of Marketing and Communications at WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions.
