WELS CEF Staff
Our officers are appointed by our Board of Directors to manage the day-to-day operations of WELS CEF.
Mr. Roser currently serves as the Executive Director for WELS CEF since July 2024. Prior to that, he was the Loan Portfolio Manager from July 2023 to June 2024 and Loan Servicing Manager from January 2016 to June 2023 for WELS CEF. He worked for JPMorgan Chase Bank as a home equity mortgage underwriter from 2011-2015. From 2004-2010, Mr. Roser was the Executive Administrator for Lutheran Association for Church Extension, Inc. (LACE). His prior banking experience includes management roles in client relations, consumer lending, and loss mitigation. Mr. Roser graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.
Mr. Westphal has been an employee of WELS, serving as the Loan Officer for WELS CEF, since June 2024. He was previously employed in the residential mortgage lending field as a retail division manager, branch manager, and loan originator since 2009, and most recently with Bank of England Mortgage. Prior to that, he served as Director of Operations for a local mortgage banking company from 2004-2009. Responsibilities there included sales and staff management, vendor relationship management, portfolio lending, and underwriting. Mr. Westphal is a graduate of UW-Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.
Nancy has been an employee of WELS since 1986 and joined the WELS CEF team in 2009. She works with Brian Roser and Scott Westphal providing service on existing loans. If you have questions on an existing CEF loan, she is happy to assist.
Ms. Wagner has been with WELS CEF since 2016 and holds the position of Investment Officer. She also had worked with new loans and loan renewals in the past. Greta held the position of Investment Specialist at WELS CEF from 1991-2000. Prior to coming back to WELS CEF, she worked at Heritage Title Company from 2011-2016. Other previous banking experience includes various roles with Tri City National Bank, North Shore Bank, and Landmark Credit Union.
