TELL Network connects thousands with God’s Word
TELL Network continues to expand its ministry, reaching more students with God’s Word and preparing them to share the gospel in their own communities.
The journey begins with the self-led, entry-level online class, “Work of the Savior,” which welcomes approximately 100 new students every one to two weeks. From there, students can continue their study through TELL’s live online classes. Currently, more than 800 students are participating in live classes as they grow in their understanding of God’s Word.
More than 700 students across Africa and Asia are also participating in TELL Discipleship classes, the third level of study. In Africa, six students who have completed 13 or more classes are already leading groups of their own.
TELL Network quick facts:
• More than 10,000 students have connected with TELL Network to date.
• More than 2,000 students have completed self-study courses.
• 11 students have reached doctrinal agreement with WELS.
• 39 students from Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe are working toward doctrinal agreement.
Behind those numbers are individual students studying Scripture, asking questions, and growing in their understanding of God’s Word.
Rev. David Rosenbaum, a TELL instructor, recently shared an example of a student wrestling with a challenging biblical teaching. The student is a woman who serves as the pastor of a congregation of 43 people. As she continued studying Scripture through TELL, she began questioning whether her role was consistent with God’s Word.
Rather than simply telling her what to believe, Rosenbaum directed her back to Scripture, encouraging her to consider what God’s Word teaches. He also shared the WELS doctrinal statement This We Believe, particularly the section on Church and Ministry, and invited her to continue studying and asking questions.
Her response reflected both gratitude and a willingness to continue learning: “Wow. Thank you, Pastor. I am so blessed to join TELL. You guys really teach. Keep it up, please.”
The online instruction is also leading to opportunities for face-to-face encouragement. TELL Missionary Joel Hoff, based in Zambia, and TELL Director Nate Seiltz continue to visit students and conduct seminars in Kenya and Uganda, with additional visits to Liberia and South Africa planned for later in 2026.
Please keep TELL students and instructors in your prayers as they continue to study God’s Word. Pray that God strengthens their faith in Jesus and equips them to share the good news with others.
