The 68th Biennial Convention of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod was held July 21ā24, 2025, at Martin Luther College (MLC), New Ulm, Minn. About 400 voting delegates from around the country attended the convention.
The theme of the 2025 synod convention was āChrist through us.ā This theme highlighted both Godās blessings to the synod as it celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2025 as well as Godās continued work through WELS in years to come. A new strategic plan that establishes synodical, congregational, and individual objectives and strategies was introduced at the convention.
Save the date for the 2027 Synod Convention! The 69th Biennial Convention of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod will be held on July 26-29, 2027 at Luther Preparatory School (LPS), Watertown, Wis.

Every pastor, professor, and male teacher of the district plus a lay delegate representing each congregation attend the convention as a voting delegate. Other members of the district are welcome to attend as guests.
