When things don’t seem to be going right

When things don’t seem to be going right

Rev. John Raasch at Redemption Lutheran Church in St. George, Utah, shares how some Sundays can feel like nothing is going quite right—when the details don’t come together the way you planned. Yet he offers a powerful reminder: Jesus is the Light—not us.

We don’t need a perfect plan to share his perfect Word. Even when things feel off, Jesus is still at work. Read more from Rev. Raasch in this week's Missions blog.

Laying the groundwork for mission work in Senegal

Laying the groundwork for mission work in Senegal

From Feb. 15-21, 2026, Stefan Felgenhauer, WELS Director of Missions Operations, traveled to Dakar, Senegal, to explore the language and culture immersion experience that will prepare Dan and Karen Kroll for service among the Wolof people.

From meeting with language instructors to visiting host families, Stefan saw firsthand what the Krolls’ first months in Senegal will look like as they learn Wolof and begin building relationships in this new mission field. Please keep Stefan’s work—and the Krolls—as they prepare for service in your prayers.
