The 2019 Women’s Ministry Conference blessed over 325 women who gathered around the Word of God to learn, worship and rejoice in fellowship! The conference highlighted God’s design and purpose for the Christian woman in our society today. From openly speaking about Jesus at work or on the college campus, to reaching out in love to another generation, to working with others in God’s kingdom, we studied God’s Word to see that each woman is uniquely and purposefully in that place by God’s design.

Even when it’s difficult. Even when it’s lonely. Even when it doesn’t make sense.

God’s Word will continue to equip you to thrive wherever He has placed you. Stay in the Word – and we’ll see you in 2022!

Devotions – Living Stones

Rock Balancing

Have you ever seen rock balancing? Some people can stack stone upon stone, higher than they can reach. It’s incredible.

God likes to stack rocks too, but He makes His own stones.

He creates us—living stones—designed with His own hand, then smooths the rough spots as He allows wave after wave to come crashing down on our lives. He has a very specific plan for us, and all those crashing waves shape us for His purpose. We struggle in that process, but when we set our hearts on aligning our lives with God’s will we can start to see His greater purpose. God’s design for us—His love for us—shape us for His purpose, but He still protects us from being washed away into the sea.

Romans 5:3-5

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

He forms stacks of stones, placing each living stone with others to work toward the same, divine purpose. We are not meant to lay in solitude on the water’s edge, cursing the beating waves. We’re part of something bigger—selected and fashioned for His greater purpose.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Have you ever seen a stone sculpture stacked with perfectly identical stones? The beauty in rock balancing is the perfect placement of each stone that is entirely unique. It’s not about using perfect stones, it’s about finding the perfect place and purpose for each stone to balance and strengthen the whole sculpture. So God places each of us with different strengths and histories in a place that uses our strengths to reinforce the whole.

You are a living stone, designed to serve a unique and special role in His greater purpose. Weather the waves, align with His purpose and embrace the calling that is explicitly yours.
