The Taiwan population is just over 23 million people. The official language of Taiwan is Mandarin Chinese. The traditional religion on Taiwan is a mix of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. But the greatest barrier to the gospel of Jesus Christ is ancestor worship. The Christian Church body in Taiwan is called the Christian Lutheran Evangelical Church. There are 4 churches in the CLEC with a total membership of 150 souls. Through the powerful and active word of God and through prayer we seek to reach out with the good news of Jesus Christ and the peace, joy, love and eternal forgiveness that only Jesus offers.

Praying for Taiwan

Please pray for Chinese men and women in the Christian Lutheran Evangelical Church who would dedicate themselves to the gospel ministry; and for the two evangelists who completed their theological training and are now pastors.
