School Is Wrapping Up
By Dave Liggett:Bio on May 16, 2008
If any of you are like I was as a student, you are counting the days until school is over and summer days have begun. Even though it was quite a long time ago when I last attended school, I could not wait to say “adios” to school and all that it involved. One thing I regret is not spending enough time thanking the teachers that had endured me for another year, thanking them for sharing their wisdom and faith, thanking them for having a positive influence on my life for another year. I hope everyone who is a student or who has students in school will take a few moments that last day of school to thank the teachers for all they have done for you.

It was not all that long ago that I was in school. I’ve been out of college for 2 years now and I’m surprised by how often I think of and appreciate the teachers I had. In their own way, they each helped me get to where I am today. I wish I knew an appropriate way to thank them.

Dear Katie,
Thank you for sharing you thoughts in our blog system. One of the things I believe I could spend a lot more time doing is saying “thank you.” Thank you to those who positively influenced my life. For me it is amazing the influence a pastor, teacher or professor had upon my life.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend.
